Why the Book Isn’t On Audio

📖
“Why isn’t the book on audio?”

I get this question a lot.
People like listening to stuff these days.
I totally understand.
I have a library of podcasts I tune in to.

So why haven’t I taken the time and money to create an audio version of Messy Victories?

Because that means someone else would have to be Jason’s voice.
Someone else would have to tell the stories he’s told for the last 30 years.
Someone else would have to get the right inflection and put emphasis on the right words.
Someone else would have to pause at the right times and raise their voice on the perfect syllable.
Someone else would have to be Jason.

It’s a grief thing.
I can’t do it.
I don’t want to do it.
I’ve thought about having one of his brothers read his part. Clint would sound closest to Jason, I think. He tells stories in a similar way to him.
And maybe someday I’ll ask him to help me create an audio version of the book.

But not right now.
I don’t want to do it.

Why isn’t the book on audio, you ask?
Because Jason isn’t here to read his part.

Enjoy the printed version. Paperback or kindle. You can get it on Amazon.

And then imagine Jason’s voice telling his stories. Teaching you lessons. Making you laugh.
Saying inspiring things that you share with everybody.
He’s in there.💙✊🏻

Get your copy of Messy Victories here.
Enjoy!
