The Glitch

There was a typo on the page one of the first printing of Messy Victories.
The first page!
How did that happen?!!🤦🏻‍♀️
Then I remembered we had a little change after we had proofed the book three times.
After we had read it a hundred times.
After we had edited it a billion times.

We tweaked something in the middle. A little tweak. To make sure something was correct.
It tweaked something at the beginning and end and created a typo far away from the original tweak.
We didn’t even think to check in those spots because it didn’t relate to what we were looking at in the first place.

It’s fixed now.
I admit though, I was worried about all the hundreds of books already printed with the glitch.
But as we learn from Vanellope von Schweetz, glitches are adorable! And spunky! And they race in karts made of candy! And they’re actually princesses!
Glitches are sometimes awesome.

Besides, you’re our people!
So you just kept reading.
You got the gist of the word and moved forward.
