Iโ€™m Golfing Now

My sister-in-law asked if I wanted to take golf lessons.
I like doing new things with a buddy so, I said yes. We had four weeks of lessons.
Now we golf once a week with her sister and  mom.
We are beginners together. Driving. Hoping to get it down the fairway. Then dropping our ball in the spot that we choose.๐Ÿ˜

We have two goals. In this order:

  1. Hit the ball up in the air.

  2. Try to go straight.

Thatโ€™s it. We donโ€™t keep score. We tell each other good job when it goes in the air or straight. Lots of cheers for getting both at the same time.
Iโ€™m loving it.

Even though Coleman started golfing when he was about 7 years old, I never wanted to golf before.
It was just another hobby that Jason couldnโ€™t do. I wasnโ€™t interested.

But now I am.
Now that school is out, Coleman gets a tee time with a friend before or after us women.
We all go together.
Itโ€™s becoming a thing.

Coleman and I go on our own, too.
We were on the course at 6:15 am last week.
Heโ€™s way better than me. His goals are higher than just getting it up in the air.
He has a great swing. And some good tips.

This weekend he told my golfing in-laws that the best part of my game was my pitching.
Yeah. Heโ€™s right. For a beginner, Iโ€™m pretty good at pitching.๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

I didnโ€™t used to want to play golf.
Now I do.
I love that things can change.
My reasons for doing things or not doing things can change.
I can change.
And try something new.
Look at something new.
Be something new.โœŠ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’™

What new thing have you taken up lately?๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
