Why Should I Adapt?

πŸ™…πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I mean, seriously.
Let's just drop this one.

Adapting to change is a life skill.
It's not possible to NOT have to adapt to change.

Look at one single day.
Do you ever have to adjust because someone else is running late or there's a lot of red lights or the school calls to tell you that your child just threw up?

Of course you have to adapt. Our kids have to adapt.
All day long we all have to adapt.

Now you get to decide how you are going to feel about adapting. How you're going to feel about your kids being required to adapt. Especially when no one actually wants the change that is happening.

Resisting it will be a painful experience. I promise you.
Thinking that it shouldn't be this way will feel terrible. That's the truth.

Adapting to change is going to be a part of your life anyway.
So what if we just embraced it?
But for real.
What if we really, truly believe that we can adapt to any change that comes our way?

Here's how that might sound in our brain: "Oh, here's a change. Dang it. That's really a bummer. Oh well, time to adapt."

We don't have to like it. But we can accept it.
And my guess is that it will feel better than thinking that having to adapt shouldn't be part of life.πŸ’™
