Your Worth vs. Your List

I said it.
Your list has nothing to do with your worth.
Has nothing to do with your value.

It's just a list.
Of things that might be done.
Or not.
Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe never.

Measuring yourself against your list isn't necessary.
But as a former dedicated list-maker, I realize that it might be a habit.
A habit that you thought was admirable.
Or important.
Or just a reality.

It's not actually necessary.
Or important.
Or, dare I say, even admirable.

Your list is just a list.
Just a bunch of words written down.
An arbitrary organization of letters and sounds.
And crossing things off of it has nothing to do with your worth.
