I Don't Need It Either
👁
I spy with my little eye...
♿️♿️♿️ 3 wheelchairs
1 hand bike
4 pressure-regulating seat cushions
1 charger and a spare for travel
1 charger with an international plug
3 neck braces from the Avenger Wreck
A giant ziplock bag of specialty gear
A pair of foot stabilizing boots
A bunch of adaptive writing tools
1 boxful of medical supplies.
Jason took none of this with him.
I’ve decided that I don’t need to keep it either.
It represents the burden.
The struggle.
The hard stuff.
The daily pain.
The challenge to overcome.
I’m ok letting it go.
He’s free of it and I can be, too.
Good riddance, actually.
See ya later alligator.
Ciao!Adios, amigos.
Bye, Felicia!
Cya.
Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out.
Hasta la vista, baby.
It’s all going to a good home.
My sister helped me create the pile - every nook and cranny of the house has been de-medicalized.
My sister-in-law arranged for an organization to pick them up this morning to donate to people who can really use them. They’ll take it all. I love that.
Here’s to letting go of the stuff weighing us down.
Even the tools that used to help - but don’t any more.
Let it go, girl....
My pleasure.✊🏻💙
UPDATE: I had a 15-second cry while sitting on the steps in our garage after I saw that the pile was actually gone.
I’m a short cryer.
And I’m still good with letting the stuff go.
Bye-Bye.
