Change Your Belief, Change Your Life

Q: How much do you actively use your belief to create what you want your life to look like?

Belief is the greatest power tool I own.

I would say that I’ve always been good at believing things. Jason was good at it, too.

We knew how to maximize belief in the form of gratitude and positive thinking.

But let’s say that our use of belief was the size of an apple.

My mother was raised on an apple farm in Washington and so apples are something I love and get sentimental about.

In the past, my use of belief might have been considered the size of a juicy, gorgeous, beloved Washington apple.

But what I understand about and how I use belief NOW, I would describe it as the size of the orchard.

When I was a child, we ran through the orchards. They seemed endless as we drove on the winding roads through apple country.

It felt like we were immersed in the orchards.

That’s what belief is for me.

Immersive.

Surrounding me.

Available on every side of me and for every minuscule aspect of my life.

It’s so abundantly available that I can’t even see the edges of what belief can create for me.

There are a lot of strategies for success out there for your business and your life.

Marketing plans, SEO, hiring practices, streamlining systems for efficiency, product launches, time management systems, continuing education…and the list goes on.

My first strategy is to intentionally believe.

When I was at the live event for a business Mastermind recently, we were invited to outline our goals for the next three years and then nail down a specific marketing plan for the next six months.

Some coaches identified things like making clear CTAs (calls to action) on their podcast, launch a new offer, master their sales webinar, write 30 days of selling emails.

And all of these are good parts of a marketing plan.

But I wrote down one thing:

“Believe my warm audience is enough.”

I ended up adding two more things to my marketing plan that were the typical actions that you might see.

1. Speak to my warm audience in my CTAs. Help them know the next step to take.

2. Create a 17-day text course about how to achieve more balance in your life.

But I knew that these actions are eclipsed by the action that holds the real power:

My belief.

I had identified a limiting belief at the Mastermind.

And I know what happens when I identify a limiting belief.

I change it.

Here was my belief: I thought that you (my lovely warm audience) were only here for my grief journey.

I thought that you didn’t want coaching helps or new ways of solving problems.

I thought that you didn’t want me to talk to you about the ways I’m improving my life, how I apply coaching principles to my parenting and grief, or what it looks like to pursue massive personal growth.

Once I recognized this limiting belief about YOU (my awesome warm audience), I knew that I could change that thought to what I want to believe instead.

I have a process I use to actively let go of limiting beliefs and actively pursue believing something new.

Now, I believe something different.

I believe that you want to be here.

I think you like how I use my life to teach things.

I think YOU WANT help with feeling stressed or pressure or disconnected from the people you love.

I think you are searching for a different, more calm way to create your success.

I think you assume that work-life balance doesn’t exist for you.

I think you’re afraid of being lazy so you just keep grinding it out.

I think you’re here because you want a new perspective on how to succeed.

I believe you’re here because you want to be here.

Belief is the ultimate action I can take that smooths the way for every action coming behind it.

I know how to change a limiting belief.

And I’m not afraid of doing it.

When I recognize a specific limiting belief, I will often say, “This is going to change everything.”

Because it’s true.

Up-leveling a belief changes everything.

That’s what happened at our Mastermind.

We were sitting around the conference table in our breakout group.

I had just recognized the limiting belief I held about you, my incredible warm audience.

I knew, in that moment, that I would never view you the same again.

I leaned into my group and said, “This is going to change everything for me.”

Why? Because belief is the orchard.

Belief sprawls out over all of the hills and beside all of the roads that make up my life.

Belief is abundant. It thinks beyond one apple and accesses the possibility of infinite apples.

Up-leveling a limiting belief is single-handedly the greatest tool I use to create the life and business I want.

It is not a hope.

It is not a wish.

It’s a strategy.

Q: How much do you actively use your belief to create what you want your life to look like?

Belief is bigger than just being grateful or thinking positively.

Beliefs are our power of creation.

It’s time to look up, see the possibilities that stretch beyond our line of vision, and learn how to use the greatest tool in your toolbox that creates massive success in your business and life.

Sending love,

K
