Jason’s parents are coming to the show tonight.
I bought them tickets for their normal seats.
And I bought Jason’s spot, too.
Three tickets.

He sat there for every performance over the years.

When Coleman was a kindergartner in the Children’s Chorus.

When he was an orphan and a pocket-picker.
🎟 Music Man.
When he sang solos as Winthrop.
🎟 Little Mermaid.
As Prince Eric’s right-hand man, Grimsby.

I bought those same seats for every show.
Dad was always there.
Sitting in his spot.
Cheering on his son.
Eyes twinkling with pride.
Loving every minute of it.
With me or Grandma & Grandpa or other family in the seats next to him.

Tonight I bought Jason his ticket along with the ones for his parents.
It just seemed right.
C-1, C-2, C-3.

I think he’s still here for every show - with or without a ticket.😉
