Rai-ders!
We got invited to the first Raiders game this season.
It was also the first game with fans inside the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.😱
So cool.
Really. The stadium is so cool.

We’re not usually Raiders fans but we definitely know how to give our support for the home team.
The whole 36-hour whirlwind trip was fun.

The Raiders have this cheer.
One person calls out “Rai-ders!” and fans in hearing distance nearby echo back with “Rai-ders!”
We listened to this cheer for three quarters, the boys in our group catching on and echoing back. 

Then came the fourth quarter.
That was when Coleman realized that maybe he could call out “Rai-ders!” first and see what would happen.
He did it.
And got the echo from a bunch of fans in our section.
And it was all over.
For the next hour, both in and out of the stadium, four 12-year-old boys called out “Rai-ders!” every minute or so and laughed with power and delight when they received an echo in return.

Their first taste of being influencers.
Hearing the echo of someone following you.

I love the word influencer.
But I use it much more broadly than a person with a certain number of followers.
We are the influencers.
In our tiny space. Our little circle.
We influence.
We lead.
People echo us.

Believe it, sister.
You are calling out.
People are influenced by you.
Even if it is just a few.
You are an influencer for good.💙✊🏻
