Download Day - Reunions

July has been a month of reunions for us.  It's been 20 years since both Jason and I graduated from different high schools so we attended his reunion in  the beloved Boise, Idaho.  I feel very lucky to know many of his friends from high school as they continued their friendships through our college days as well.  I was just as excited to see many of his friends as he was.  They always keep a place in my heart because of their ability to love and nurture him after he broke his neck when he was just 15 years old.  They saved him and I'll forever be grateful for their hand in helping him become the man that he is today.

I do admit that during the slide show I kept thinking, "Hey, that's me!" and having to remind myself that it wasn't because I didn't go to that school - we all just had the same hair back then.  It was the 80s - big hair, big fun!

Jason's High School Friends

The weekend after our trip to Boise was the family reunion of my mother's siblings and their families.  We had about 80 people from three generations and all of my mother's siblings were there.  Although this was only about half of the entire family, we loved every minute of swimming, the bounce house, eating Italian ice, chasing little ones and catching up on old times.  I found that my zoom lens on my Canon was perfect for capturing all of the best moments of the weekend - without people knowing they were getting their picture taken.  I could get right in on someone even when they were across the pool and it was such a joy to freeze each moment of this fabulous time together.

So, in the spirit of reunions and coming together, I have created a download that you can use as a journaling block on a page or card or whatever you choose.  These are the best moments of our lives.  Aren't we lucky that we get to capture them?
